Crisis, Clarity & Stabilization

In the last nine months, my life was upended through car, health, relational, job, and financial crises. Even though I knew God was my Father and had not left me, I was in deeper brokenness than I had ever experienced before. I could not think clearly, and I needed someone outside my situation to listen, ask questions, and speak truth to me.

I needed help teasing out what was and wasn’t my responsibility. I needed counsel on how to stop my thoughts from spinning uncontrollably, and I needed practical action steps for what I could change. I also needed space to share what God had been showing me and to speak aloud the promises He had given me as I grappled with unknowns.

A colleague suggested Kirsten — a wise counselor who has walked through hard things and would speak God’s Word from God’s heart. Kirsten brought empathy and compassion, and she did not hesitate to ask clarifying questions that exposed wrong perspectives. She recommended resources, gave me time to absorb and assimilate suggestions, and consistently circled back to the action steps I needed to take — while always leaving responsibility with me.

This kind of biblical counseling invites the counseled person to do the hard work God is calling them to, with prayer, support, and clarity along the way. Processing my situation aloud with a sister in Christ stabilized my thinking. Kirsten helped me experience God’s peace and practical solutions in the midst of circumstances outside my control.

I am deeply grateful for her ministry and continue to recommend her to others walking through complex challenges and needing wise, steady counsel.
